Euchre is a trick-taking card game with a trump that is played by four participants in two-player teams. Every player gets to play one card, and if no one has played a trump card, the player who plays the highest card of the suit that is led wins the trick. One of the most notable differences between this game and Whist is that one team must first choose which card is the trump and then win the majority of the tricks in a given hand. The competition consists of multiple rounds, each of which is won by the first team to reach 10 points.
