Make Up Queen R is a beauty game in which players must apply cosmetics to get a specified look that suits the model's appearance. The game normally consists of three stages, each with a different model and makeup style. The gameplay is based on precision and time, with players having to halt the cosmetics application at the exact right moment to properly recreate the model's makeup. If the cosmetics do not match the required appearance, the game terminates at that point.
